What is Central Office of Louisiana, or COLA?
It is a local group of OA members (recognized by the World Service Office as an "Intergroup") who come together to carry the message of 12-step recovery in Southeast Louisiana. As representatives of our local community, we:
- sponsor an annual OA retreat and annual workshops for OA groups and fellows to attend;
- serve as a link between our local OA groups and regional and national OA groups; and
- help other local individuals who need OA, to locate local members through the website, phone service, and other ways.
Whether your meeting is held in Covington, Houma, Mandeville, Metairie, New Orleans, Slidell, or anywhere else in the Southeast Louisiana region, each group’s voice is essential in making our local OA fellowship strong. Please send a representative to COLA. There is no special skill or knowledge needed – just the desire to serve your OA fellows in a new way! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
