ISO Virtual Forum: Open Forum |

The MIT International Students Office will host several Virtual Forums this summer for all incoming and continuing international students to provide information on visa and travel questions, as well as address general issues and questions. In addition to prepared remarks, the ISO will address any pre-submitted questions in advance of the Virtual Forums, and, if time available, will answer questions posed during the Virtual Forums.

Please note that it is your responsibility as an international student to update your address within 10 days of moving. You should also update your email address/phone number if these have changed, within 10 days of any change.
The updates you make in WebSIS will automatically be sent to our iMIT system, which will automatically update in SEVIS.

Request Travel Signatures on iMIT |
- *Note: You can leave the US without a travel signature; however, you will need a valid signature to re-enter (signed within the last 12 months)

Request new immigration form on iMIT

Go to "F-1 or J-1 Student Services"

Choose "Request Replacement Form" (Reason: Travel signature)

Please check your Form I-20 on Page 2 (F visa holders) or Form DS-2019 (J visa holders) on Page 1 to be sure you have a travel validation signature signed within 12 months of your planned date of return to the U.S. If you do not yet have a travel validation signature, or it will be older than 12 months, you can request in iMIT a new Form I-20/DS-2019 with travel signature. Instructions are available on the ISO “Visas and Travel” webpage.
Form I-20s will be emailed to you; Form DS-2019s can be picked up or mailed to you. |

ISO Summer Hours |
Between June 27, 2022 and August 5, 2022 |
The ISO has adopted summer hours for the period of Monday, June 27 through Friday, August 5, 2022. ISO Staff will still be working Monday through Friday from 9:00am - 5:00pm but will have a hybrid of walk-in hours and days that staff will be working fully remote.
Summer Walk-In Hours:
Mondays, Tuesdays, & Thursdays: Walk-In Hours 10:00am-3:00pm
Wednesdays & Fridays: Fully Virtual (ISO Staff will be working remotely) – No Walk-In Hours on these days.
If you have an urgent situation, you can call the ISO between 9:00am-5:00pm at 617-253-3795, or send an email to iso-help@mit.edu
If you need to contact the ISO outside of work hours for an emergency situation (such as travel or port-of-entry issues) that cannot wait until the next business day, you may contact the ISO Emergency phone number (617-258-5480).
*As always, you may contact your ISO Advisor directly by email with any questions or to schedule a Zoom or phone appointment.

- Learn to ballroom dance from the MIT Ballroom Dance Team!
- We are having a series of FREE social dance classes every Monday night from July 11 - August 8.

Acupuncture appointments now available at MIT Medical |
For students and family members enrolled in Extended Health Insurance Plan |
Community Wellness at MIT Medical is now offering onsite acupuncture appointments for students, affiliates, and their family members enrolled in the extended insurance plan. Students are covered for 20 sessions per calendar year, each with a $10 co-pay. Acupuncture can be used to treat a variety of conditions, including:
- Musculoskeletal pain in the back, neck, knees, etc.
- Tension and migraine type headaches
- Insomnia
- Menstrual cramps and other menstrual conditions
- Allergic Rhinitis
- Some mental health conditions, including anxiety and depression
- Sports injuries
Patients can schedule appointments through HealthELife or by calling Community Wellness at 617-253-1316.
*Please note: the onsite service is limited to MIT students and affiliates and their spouses/partners/dependents who are covered by the Student/Affiliate Extended Insurance Plans. Patients should refer to their plan’s benefit description document to learn about benefit limits and any potential out-of-pocket costs. |

This live, virtual 15-minute class is a combination of simple stretches to release tension in the body and guided meditation to mentally reset during the day.
It will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays to encourage taking a break midday. Register for free anytime, attend as often as you wish, and feel free to invite others to register as a self-care routine.
