UBC Ani Beach Outing Update!
Hi all, here's a reminder/update for those who are coming to our Beach Outing at Kitsilano Beach on July 27th!
The beach outing will start at 11:30AM, and go until 10PM when the Festival of Light fireworks begin! You dont need to be a member to attend the event!
We also have an updated list of activities: soccer, frisbee, volleyball (from 4-6, hopefully), ocean chicken fights, watermelon smashing, tug of war, and A SHOVEL(!!).
We'll be sure to cover everything listed, but for the most part we'll just be chilling on the beach/staying cool until the fireworks! Please bring any beach/sports stuff you'd like to though. (A blanket and umbrella would be especially useful for the heat)
Disclaimer: You're responsible for any and all stuff you bring, and are also responsible for keeping yourself hydrated, cool and uninjured. That being said, please bring water, food, sunscreen, and any other safety items you need.
Vancouver is forecast to be 36° hot on the 27th, so please come prepared for the heat.
If the heat is a concern for you, we recommend coming later in the evening when temperatures drop.
TL:DR - Bring sunscreen, water, food, an umbrella for shade, and any other beach stuff you'd like. Please be aware of the heat and keep safe!
