A message from the Board

With July almost at a close and as we head in to August it is hard to believe that we are halfway through the season already. Time flies when you're having fun.  And it is easy to forget all the great things we have accomplished, just in July - the T20 Smash finals were held, our Women's team finished their season, the SCF's junior leagues are winding up, all the Men's T20 series have started, the SCC Gladiators travelled to Umeå (the first time the club has ever played there), and we held an Open Day.

On the subject of  which, it was great to see so many people at the Open Day on July 2nd. And we hope that the match between the Chairman's XI and the Captains XI will become an annual fixture where all the club can come together.

Lastly, but no means least, the board would like to welcome Emelie Arvidsson Porob to the board as an adjutant ledamot.

Keep up the great effort, have fun and go well!

Gladiators win the T20 Smash

Congratulations to the SCC Gladiators for winning the 4th edition of the T20 Smash.

The SCC Gladiators won the final against the Herr 1XI team by 5 wickets, with 3 overs to spare.  with Chenna (35) and Shiva (38) leading the scoring and Santosh (2 for 20) and Harlagan (1 for 12) being the stand out bowlers.

In 2022 the tournament was held as an internal tournament for the 4 Men's teams,  All results and links to the scorecards (including video highlights) can be found here.

Open Day

On July 2nd the club held an Open Day at Granby BP where boys and girls that were interested in playing cricket to come along and give it a go.

The club would  like to thank NGroceries and Cricketbutiken.se for sponsoring the competition prizes.

Chairman's XI vs Captains XI Match

The Captains XI won the inaugural Chairman's v Captains match.

As part of the Open Day a match between teams selected by the Club Chairman and 1st XI Captain was played.  Each team needed to have players representing the different sections in the club.  The idea being to bring all the the disparate teams in the club together and give the younger players in the club an experience of playing with a senior team,  but also as a demonstration of cricket to people that attended the open day.

The Chairman's XI team was; Abhinav R, Chenna, Flynn G-H, Hamzah, Himanshu P, Jyoti S, Karl L, Sampat M, Vanie G.

The Captain's XI team was;  Waleed, Reyansh, Ritam, Advait, Yash, Kaushik, Meghna, Manu L,  Abhishek, Viswa,
