Multicultural Festivals and Events Program

 
Grants up to $50,000 available to support COVIDSafe festivals and events. 

Are you looking to put on a festival or event in the first half of 2023? The Multicultural Festivals and Events Program is now open to applications for funding of up to $50,000 per community organisation. Applicants are encouraged to explore new methods to reach all Victorians and to consider how their events could be delivered in an online or hybrid format.

Online information sessions run Tuesday 2 August (New and Emerging Community session) and Thursday 4 August to support community organisations with project planning and the application process. Grant applications close 3pm on Wednesday 17 August.


Priority Response to Multicultural Communities Program

Grants up to $75,000 available to build your organisation's capacity.

The Priority Response to Multicultural Communities (PRMC) program is a continuation of the Victorian Government's commitment to the multicultural and faith organisations that have played a key role in supporting the community through the pandemic.
Funding is available up to $75,000 to eligible organisations for the primary purpose of building capacity, including costs for staffing, oncosts such as professional development, and job specific training. Online information sessions will be held on Wednesday 3 August and Thursday 11 August.

The grant application deadline is 11:59pm on Tuesday 16 August.

Kingston Volunteer Expo

Meet and connect with amazing community organisations and find out how your existing skills can help support your local community.

Featuring guest speaker, Scott Miller CEO of Volunteer Victoria. The expo will be held on Monday 8 August, 2:30-4:30pm at Kingston Arts Centre, 979 Nepean Highway, Moorabbin.

Nominations for the 2022 Multicultural Awards for Excellence are open until 7 August!

The Multicultural Awards for Excellence (MAEs) formally recognise people and organisations who have fostered cross-cultural understanding and supported those with migrant, refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds to fully participate in all aspects of Victorian life.

This year’s categories are: Arts, Business, Community Innovation, Education, Emergency Services, Health, Justice, Local Government, Media, Police, Refugee Advocacy, Sport, Youth Leadership, and the Premier’s Award for Community Harmony. Award recipients will be honoured at a ceremony at Government House on Tuesday 25 October 2022.

Have your NDIS questions answered

Brotherhood of St. Laurence (BSL) is hosting NDIS information session for people with disability, family members and carers at the Patterson Lakes Community Centre. Drop in to have a chat with the team and learn more about:
  • NDIS access and planning
  • Implementing your NDIS plan
  • Supports funded under the NDIS
The session will be held on 23 August from 11am-12pm at Patterson Lakes Community Centre, 54-70 Thompson Rd, Patterson Lakes. Bookings are not required.

Tai Chi at Sundowner Community Centre
A mind-body practice that involves a series of slow, flowing exercises that combine movement, meditation, and rhythmic breathing. Fridays from 9:30-10:30am at Sundowner Community Centre, Clarinda. All welcome, $6 per session.
