LONG WEEKEND ACTIVITIES!

Friday July 29th
Youth night
7:30 PM - 8:30 PM: kids, preteens, teens, and youths of all ages, come on up to La Barn for youth night activities and a chill hang out!
MOVIE NIGHT!
We will be hosting an outdoor movie in the park! Come by the field beside the office to see Spider Man: No Way Home. The show will begin at dusk (9 PM). We will be selling popcorn and drinks. See you there!
Saturday July 30th
Dance and performance by Windy Ridge
8 PM - 9:30 PM: all ages
9:30 PM - midnight: adults only
Sunday July 31st
Pancake Breakfast
9 AM - 10:30 AM: please bring your own plate and cutlery!

La Barn

As previously announced by the Social Committee, La Barn can be used by anyone looking for a spot to play a board game, do some crafts, pick out a book, and anything else! The hall will remain locked, but come by the office to sign out the key if you wish to access the space!

Sports court & equipment

As you may have noticed, we are finally wrapping up the sports court project! The basketball nets are up and ready for use. The hockey nets will be assembled and ready before the weekend. You will have to bring your own sticks and ball for now! The beach volleyball court has been dug and filled with sand and the nets will be up this weekend as well! The only thing we are waiting for now is the painting of the lines, which was delayed due to the heat prolonging the curing of the asphalt. You can come by the office to sign out a basketball if you need it! If you snap any pictures of the kids enjoying the new area, be sure to tag us on Instagram! @sandaraskapark

Hydro

All sites should have received a hydro bill by now. Please come by the office to settle up using debit, cash, or cheque. We accept Visa and MasterCard with a 2.5% processing charge. The next hydro bill will be done the first week of October, along with municipal tax, and your hydro deposit will be applied to that bill.

We really appreciate everyone taking the time to keep their sites neat, tidy, and well maintained! Please be sure this care includes the back of your site and behind your trailer. Thank you!

Renewals

As announced last fall, renewals for the 2023 season will be due by Monday, September 5th, 2022. We will be sending out information in the next newsletter, but we plan to start accepting renewals in the next two weeks. Here is a reminder of the steps to renew:

ensure your account is at a zero balance with no outstanding bills
complete the 2023 License of Occupation
bring in the completed LOO, as well as a copy of your current insurance policy, and your drivers license
office staff will take your LOO, a copy of your insurance, and will need to see your driver's license to confirm the address
once your LOO has been submitted, you can pay your deposit of $750.00 towards the 2023 season fee (cash, debit, or cheque preferred)

GANARASKA FOREST REMAINS CLOSED

The Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority has announced that the forest and trails will be closed until September 30th, 2022. They have cited the extreme storm damage as being the reason and the forest conditions remain unsafe. There are acres of downed trees, fallen branches still suspended overhead, and trails remain impassable. Unfortunately, the volume of damage has resulted in a lengthy restoration.
