Clare Valley Social Media
The official Instagram and Facebook accounts are a great resource for visitors looking for inspiration on their upcoming stay in the Clare Valley. We strongly encourage our local businesses to engage with these accounts and their content to continue to build them up. We use Instagram (not Facebook) to collect our content for re-sharing. A very high majority of our content comes from visitors (user-generated) and not so much professional photography. To help build this, we encourage yourself and your guests to use the official hashtag for the region #VisitClareValley or #VisitBurra and tag our account @clarevalleysa (both on your image and in your caption). As a bonus, this will boost your chances of having your content shared to our page. We encourage you to have a scroll through our profile to view the types of photos that we share, as well as other Tourism Region accounts from within South Australia. We also encourage you to have an up-to-date ATDW listing so that we can include a link in our corresponding Facebook post.

Accessible Tourism Accreditation is now available for South Australian businesses
Accessible Tourism Accreditation, delivered by Tourism Industry Council South Australia - TICSA, supports businesses to assess, develop and improve their experiences and facilities for the $8 billion accessible tourism market. Businesses undergo a comprehensive self-assessment that evaluates their provisions across six accessibility categories. Two reports are created: a detailed accessibility guide to communicate key information to potential guests, and an internal report designed to help identify areas for development. Accessible accreditation logos are awarded in the categories where all essential criteria are met.

Wrapping up the Tourism Experience Development Forum
On Tuesday 5th July 2022, 82 tourism operators from 55 businesses across the Clare Valley Tourism Region, Yorke Peninsula Tourism and the Southern Flinders Ranges attended the Tourism Experience Development Forum, in the Clare Town Hall. This event was proudly supported by the Clare & Gilbert Valleys Council and the Adelaide Business Hub.
We heard from Hayden Zammit - Tourism Accelerator, Miranda Lang - South Australian Tourism Commission, Sophie Treasure - Tourism Australia and Dougal McFuzzlebutt - Experience SA, RAA. Their combined wealth of knowledge provided so much inspiration within the room.
In addition we had tourism operators from the Southern Flinders Ranges provide us with tips and tricks to collaborate, value add, tour and more.
To finish off the event, five fearless operators presented their 'BIG IDEA' to our expert panel to develop tourism experiences within the region. The ideas were diverse and well thought and at the end of the day Naomi Jaeschke and Mel Kitschke received $500 each to assist them in bringing their product to fruition.
Our thanks to everyone who attended, sponsors, presenters and participants. And a big thanks to our caterers, Meg's Muffins (Jamestown) and Ho Nai (Clare), and Ruddenklau Wines.
