Dear SLSC Community,
Well, we've done it again....We want to send out a huge and hearty THANK YOU 🙏🙏🙏 to our community, who came out in BIG hair, AMAZING costumes, and with FULL-ON dancing shoes.
And, the amazingly supportive and generous people of Sturgeon Point who brought their cheque books.
With extreme gratitude, we would like to report that the fundraising efforts (combined from the Live Auction, the Silent Auction and Donations) SLSC is pleased to say we were able to raise over $17,000
!!!
Thank you for coming to support our little sailing club. Thank you for continuing to show up. Your support means that we are able to offer an incredible experience for our young sailors.
SLSC is pleased to announce that it will put this money towards our Capital Projects Fund for the future. A new coach boat is imminently needed, and then all the things that make SLSC special.
The team behind the SLSC board who threw all their energy into this night...chief planning and logistics (Sandy Holt, Legend). Also the incredible group that canvased for silent auction donations, and organized ahead of time and helped to pull the evening together....we are truly grateful for all your efforts!!
And to the individuals and the local businesses who offered Must-Have-Items that allowed us to pull off an impressive Live Auction (thank you Storey!) and a busy Silent Auction round until pen drop at 9:30pm. Many many people and places will continue to feel the SLSC love around here.
ALSO, the Civic Regatta is returning this weekend...halfway through summer, how is that possible already?! Details below.
And, the SLSC Swag Shop is closing NEXT Tuesday, August 2. Get your orders in before then for mid-August delivery. Links below.
Oh, and...two Sunday Afts left to go, dates below.
We are so happy that we could gather again this year.
Very best,
Richard Roberts,
SLSC Commodore
