I adore the color pink, with its uplifting vibrancy and playfulness in any space. The color, and this piece, reminds me of the brilliant “Pink Panther” movies.

The ongoing visual puzzle of geometrics, with very loose organic washes of India ink and gold powder liquid, make for a deep backdrop to the pearlescent, translucent geometric veil.

Several years ago, I was asked to create a series of paintings for the premiere of Calvin Klein’s new home furnishings collection. The opening was sponsored by Elle Decor magazine in Palm Springs, California.

I love Chinese red, appearing here with black and white. It’s such a powerfully rich and seductive combination. Adding juxtaposed geometrics with loose images and deep organic surfaces, it’s a throwback to my days of composing music, where combining multiple styles created a form of dissonance.
