Community Investment Operating Grant Changes

Recently the Edmonton Sport Council was successful in the creation of a distinct CIOG for sport and recreation which will be co-administered by the ESC and the City of Edmonton. It is the intention of the Sport Council to solely administer this grant program within the next three years. Subsequently, City Council's Community and Public Services Committee directed that the grant be named the "Live Active Grant" with strong ties to the Live Active Strategy. This change will see the continued realignment of the grant to advance diversity and inclusion by Edmonton's sport and recreation organizations.

While the grant is currently unfunded beyond this year, organizations considering applying in 2023 are encouraged to review the following resources: Workshop Recording, Workshop Slideshow with speaking notes, Outcome Measurement Instructions & Item Bank, Outcome Measurement Tools, and Glossary of Terms.
