Bishop Lucinda Attends the 15th Lambeth Conference in Canterbury, England

The Lambeth Conference is an assembly of bishops of the Anglican Communion convened by the Archbishop of Canterbury roughly every 10 years. The first such conference took place in 1867.

As the Anglican Communion is an international association of autonomous national and regional churches and is not a governing body, the Lambeth Conferences are meant to be a collaborative gathering, expressing "the mind of the communion" on issues of the day.

Today was photo day for the bishops attending. Bishop Lucinda posed with all the women bishops from the 165 countries of the worldwide Anglican Communion. It is the 48th anniversary of women’s ordination to the priesthood and the episcopate in our church.

Camp Saint Andrew's Held Last Week

Camp Saint Andrew's is the official summer camp for the Diocese of El Camino Real. The annual camp is a solid week full of fun and enriching activities for youth ages 8 to 15.

Each year the camp serves 100 children from in and around the diocese at their Sierra facility located near Pinecrest Lake, California while providing leadership opportunities for another 30 young adults.

Camp Saint Andrew’s is an open and affirming camp whose intent is to ensure that everyone who joins us has a safe, fun, and enriching experience, and that their time at camp is the best week of the year – every year.
