India 4.0: India guiding world's fourth industrial revolution: PM Modi
According to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is leading the "fourth industrial revolution" as a result of Government initiatives to increase access to technology, enhance services, and support businesses. In the upcoming five years, the Government will skill, upskill, and reskill at least 14 lakh individuals, and it will support 30 institutions through the Chips-to-Startup Program.

India's textile, handicraft exports at record $44 billion in FY22
India recorded its highest-ever textile and apparel exports of US$ 44.4 billion in fiscal year 2021-22. According to the textiles ministry, the United States was the main export destination for the country's textiles and apparel shipments, accounting for 27% of total shipments.

India exported defence equipment and technology worth a record US$ 1.63 billion in 2021-22, representing a 54.1% increase over the previous year. In 2020-21, In 2020-21, India's defence exports were valued US$ 1.06 billion, US$ 1.14 billion in 2019-20, and US$ 259.49 million in 2015-16.
