Dear Parents and Carers

Welcome to Term 3.

Yesterday we celebrated the Feast Day of St Anne and St Joachim, Jesus’ grandparents, and what a lovely celebration this was! It was so wonderful to welcome our grandparents, parents and special friends, and to celebrate and give thanks for the joy they bring to our lives. It was quite astounding to see so many in attendance to which we are truly grateful. Both adults and children alike were very excited and it was so appreciated that many of you could visit our learning spaces and witness the children’s learning in action. Occasions like these emphasise how lucky we are to be part of an amazing community which holds rich tradition.

Congratulations to all those children who represented our school at the Diocesan Athletics carnival yesterday. Again our students participated with pride, showing great sportsmanship. A further congratulations to those children who have proceeded to the next level in Sydney.

SPORT NEWS

Yesterday we had 31 students (and parents) brave the cold conditions to attend our Diocesan Athletics Carnival in Albury. All students participated with enthusiasm and demonstrated great sportsmanship.

A big congratulations goes to both our Senior Girls and Senior Boys relay teams who made it to the MacKillop Carnival in September in Sydney! Well done! Congratulations also goes to the following students who were successful in making it to the MacKillop Carnival in individual events: Lexi Nesire, Felix Solomon, Elijah Sommerfield, Cooper Battochio, Maddison Middleton and Mia Hogan. We wish you all the best of luck!

Coming up next week (Tuesday) we have a number of students attending Diocesan cricket trials in Wagga. Thank you to those who have already registered for these trials on the CSNSW website, and a reminder to do this by Friday 29th July if you have not. Notes were sent home for these trials last term.

Have a wonderful week and stay warm!
