“There needs to be a line between where we act and where we let nature restore itself – because nature is dynamic.”
Adjany Costa. Advisor for Environmental Affairs, President of the Republic of Angola
Dear YIL member,

The GLF Africa 2022 Digital Conference is now less than two months away. On 15 September 2022, join thousands of other people from across Africa and the world in sharing ideas on how to build an equitable, resilient food future. Now is the time to get your early bird ticket.

At GLF Africa, we’ll learn from and explore the potential of decentralized food systems in Africa. Most of the world lives outside the global industrial food chain – a linear system that brings our food from the farm to our plates. Subsistence and small-scale farmers, hunters, pastoralists, fishers and so many others are often overlooked in the dominant narrative on food systems, but they are a vital part for food sovereignty and climate justice.

In the meantime, we’re kicking off a series of GLF Lives about Africa. Don’t miss the first episode exploring how we can achieve a just energy transition for the continent.

WHAT’S ON IN JULY
DON’T MISS THE NEXT GLF LIVE

Today at 14:00 CEST (UTC+2), join this youth-led GLF Live on Instagram to hear from young experts on how we can bring about a just energy transition for Africa.
