Happy summer from all of us at Karma Cat + Zen Dog Rescue Society! It's a hot one and we hope you're all staying cool and having fun. Over here at the rescue, we're seeing a prolonged kitten season and full shelters - so with your help we continue to work hard to make a difference. Jordan | Adopted July 7
In April we took in a litter of 7 male siblings, who were dubbed the Basketball Kitty Pack; our volunteer team slam dunked as these amazing kittens were adopted!

Finn | Adopted July 16
Finn got his second chance at forever! A volunteer favorite and one of our original Milltown kitties, handsome Finn came full circle and is now happily home with a volunteer who loved him from the start!

Join us for our next Dine to Donate all-day event at Playa Bowls in South Brunswick! To participate, simply dine at the South Brunswick location on Route 27, from 8 AM to 9 PM on Friday, July 29 - no flyer needed! Owners Dinesh and Amanda, pillars in our community, have generously offered to donate 15% of all orders towards our A Community Thrives: Help Meowt! campaign (more on this below!).

Calling all members of our rescue family! We have accepted this year's A Community Thrives challenge to raise $3,000 by August 12, 2022! Meeting this goal will make us eligible for operating grants from The Gannet Foundation.
We're 33% of the way there and we need your help to make it to the finish line!
All funds raised directly fund the services we offer in our community: rescue and adoptions, trap-neuter-return, and outreach programs. Even $5 will forward our mission to give our furry friends the lives they deserve!

Save the date! Throughout the month of August we will be participating in the annual NBC Universal Clear the Shelters event. We have lots of adorable friends for you to meet - from kittens to seniors! Keep an eye out for Clear the Shelters promotions and our big weekend event August 26-28!

All summer long (and beyond), join us virtually to walk, run, and/or bike for the animals! With the free ResQwalk app, you can raise awareness and support for pets looking fro their forever home. Simply download the app, choose "Karma Cat and Zen Dog" on the "Start Walk" screen, and you're all set!

Ever wonder where we get our cats? Karma Cat + Zen Dog Rescue Society has friends in shelter places! We often help relieve local shelters when they are getting overfull which is how we got our friend Moe.
Handsome, sweet, and around 6 years old, Moe loves to be pet, played with, and cuddled by his foster dad. He prefers to be your only cat and will reward your loyalty with devotion, and fill your home with love.

Have you checked out our merch table? Our awesome Crazy Crafters volunteers make all kind of fantastic home crafted goods for your family, home, and pets to enjoy! You can find us at local events, including the Bell Works Fresh Wednesday Farmers & Makers Market in Holmdel every 1st Wednesday of the month! All proceeds directly benefit the animals!

In this Adoption Tail, read all about the story of Moose. This handsome chocolate boy was found outside by some local community members. A tiny bottle baby, he was curled up in a plastic bag and awaiting rescue! KCZD answered the call and now this unique and playful fellow just celebrated his first birthday with his new mama. Enjoy!
