New Initiatives from ICC

We are preparing two new initiatives related to the video game industry and the development of partnerships in the cultural sector.

This is why we would like to re-share the overview of the video game industry we conducted in 2021.

MONDIACULT 2022 OPEN MIC

Discussions at MONDIACULT 2022 will be focused on the role of governments in supporting resilience, inclusion and sustainability in arts and culture, the role of culture in achieving the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, promotion and protection of cultural heritage and strengthening the creative economy (training, working conditions and artistic freedom). You can voice your concerns and ideas on the important topics for the sector.

Guidelines for Cultural Organizations and Shared Experience

The “Time Perspectives” has been finalized! We produced guidelines for cultural organizations in their work with audiences and asked the experts and participating organizations to share their experience in the project. You can read the guidelines and watch the interviews. Both are currently available only in Bulgarian. English resume and subtitles are going to be available soon!

News from Bulgaria

This week a 48 hour festival is taking place in the Varusha South neighborhood in the town of Veliko Tarnovo. The festival mission is to present what can be achieved through positive neighborhood relations and through connecting past, present and future.

This summer we met the team of Artspace Luna_, a gallery in the town of Burgas. The art space presents contemporary art and and applied art objects. The team has initiated a digital magazine and a podcast aimed at sharing perspectives on art. The gallery also provides young artists with a micro fund to create small projects that they present in the space after that.

A doctorate candidate in the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Bulgarian Academy of Science is conducting research on the effect of digital platforms on female entrepreneurship in the creative industries. Mira Dobreva is asking Bulgarian women entrepreneurs in the sector who work with the Etsy platform to share their experience in a survey.
