A note from Mary Hertert:
Recognizing the trauma of COVID through community participation...
The 900,000 Project is a community hands-on exploration using 10 yards of burlap as the metaphor for community. This intentional process project is not about an end result, but about the observations each participant both brings and takes away from the time spent.
You will be given a set of explanations that describe the background/history of the project along with loose descriptions on the three parts to this project. You are asked to assess all three and in honesty with yourself decide how you will approach your time with the project. How you go about using the time is up to you. I ask you to observe your individual choices as well as what happens to the group at large.
- Rending emotional trauma into the fabric.
- Mending with whatever is in the environment
- Healing with tools
The only rule of this project is that there are no rules - except the ones you put on yourself.
