To my younger hearing loss self

Gael Hannan journeys back in time to chat with her 21-year-old self about hearing loss and offer some sage advice.

The younger Gael is struggling and wonders how her hearing loss will affect her life. To her surprise, "present" Gael has more in store for her than hearing technology improvements.

Insights on teaching PCC from Pretoria University

In their essay, "Person-centered approaches for functional learning in
professional programmes," Professors Faheema Mahomed-Asmail and
Dr. Renata Eccles share the challenges and accomplishments that the
Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology at the University
of Pretoria faced teaching their students crucial PCC skills.

"Students must be able to provide dynamic person-centered services to
diverse populations across multiple settings, be it online or in-person.
Ultimately, it is each lecturer’s responsibility to reflect on whether they
have prepared sufficiently to do this."
