You are invited to a special presentation for Endorsers of the Petition to Phase Out GHG Pollution and Sponsors of the Campaign to get it done. 

As many of you already know, we filed our petition on June 16, 2022, and by law the Agency must respond by September 14, 2022. While that deadline is rapidly approaching, some of you may be wondering. . . 

CPR Initiative’s Petition to Phase Out GHG Pollution: Is it still necessary after the Schumer/Manchin "Inflation Reduction Act"? Is it still possible after the Supreme Court's ruling in West Virginia v EPA?

CPR Initiative's June 16, 2022 filing kicked off a 90-day statutory deadline for EPA to grant or deny our Petition. Accordingly, just 90 27 days from now (and counting) EPA must determine whether or not GHG pollution "presents an unreasonable risk of injury to health or the environment" — and, if so, to kick-off a rulemaking proceeding to limit that risk.

If not, we will need to see the Agency in court.

Getting this done right will not be easy, but it is possible, if we do it together.
