Outreach Events

After the Casper College Welcome Back BBQ on August 21st, UU Casper will also be hosting a table during the evening portion of Solabration on September 17th at the Bart Rea Learning Circle (Labyrinth) at Amoco Park. We welcome everyone to come and have a wonderful time during this free event. Please learn more about Solabration below:

“We are cranking up the juice for the Solabration festival for its sixth anniversary. This Sunfest is the culmination of the Yoga on the Labyrinth summer season and our community gathering for International Day of Peace and the Fall Equinox. We start with the Free Energy wellness class from 8:30-10 a.m. At 4 p.m. join the exciting and free cultural performances including Hoop Dancer Jasmine Pickner Bell and family with the North Bell drummers/singers and fire performance by Miranda Bressler. Then live music by Red Butte. We are staging the event so we can also be part in Funky Junk downtown. We invite you join us at the labyrinth at 3 p.m with your personal flair for the Tour de Platte Peace Parade from the labyrinth to and across The Pumphouse Bridge. Come on foot, bikes, wagons, rollerblades, skates. We wrap up the evening with a Sacred Journey labyrinth walk and Fall Equinox candle lit sound bath by Chris Pfaff of Sacred Sounds at sunset. Join the Circle!”

The September fun doesn’t have to end with Solabration. St. Mark’s Episcopal Church has invited UU to participate in their Fall Ethnic Festival on September 24th. If we participate, we could have a booth and sell food of our choice while enjoying fellowship with other Casper area churches. If enough of us would like to help cook food and donate ingredients, the Membership Committee will find out what else we need to do. Please contact Cindy Wright or Damion Jessup to get involved!
