Talkeetna, Alaska

Deadline to register is August 23rd

Alaska INBRE and the UA Center for Transformative Research in Metabolism (TRiM), the two active IDeA programs in Alaska, are partnering this year to bring you the inaugural Alaska IDeA Research Retreat, a two-day, in-state celebration of IDeA-funded research.  INBRE research is correlated to a One Health theme, and the retreat will feature research during the 2021-2022 (MOD21) funding year. TRiM’s research studies metabolic extremes exhibited in hibernation through preclinical initiatives to develop innovative treatments for metabolic and related diseases with clinical relevance for aging.

The retreat includes a keynote speaker, poster sessions and an opportunity for collaboration and networking.  The 2022 retreat will take place at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge, Talkeetna, AK September 24-25, 2022.

Lodging, meals, and motorcoach (bus) transportation are provided for Alaska INBRE & TRiM program participants including piloted researchers, GRAs, URAs, curriculum development awardees and researchers/labs in the INBRE & TRiM networks.  All other researchers and students are welcome to register with funding provided on a case-by-case basis upon review of INBRE & TRiM leaders.
