Sommeren er ikke slut endnu, og vi vender tilbage fra sommerferie med en masse spændende arrangementer i København. Vi åbner en ny udstilling, Urban Belonging, om forskningsprojektet af samme navn, som bliver ledsaget af en række samtalesaloner om, hvor inkluderende byrummet er, og hvordan det opleves af forskellige grupper. Vi afholder også et mini-symposium om tidens største urbane udfordringer, hvor vi blandt andet får besøg af den legendariske sociolog Saskia Sassen, manden bag Paris' 15-minutter by Carlos Moreno og arkitekt, kurator, forfatter Martha Thorne. Mini symposium om bæredygtig byudvikling med Saskia Sassen, Carlos Moreno og Martha Thorne

Copenhagen Architecture Festival er stolte af, at kunne præsentere de internationalt anerkendte urbane tænkere Carlos Moreno, Martha Thorne og Saskia Sassen.
Gennem en præsentation af deres individuelle arbejde og i den fælles diskussion der følger, vil de adressere vigtige spørgsmål omkring skabelsen af bæredygtige byer: hvad er de mest presserende udfordringer vores byer står overfor i dag, og hvad er løsningerne?

Byen er for det meste udviklet ud fra en forestilling om, at vi alle oplever byen på samme måde, og at vi kan designe steder, der er inkluderende for alle. Med undersøgelsen Urban Belonging udfordres dette af et hold af byplanlæggere og forskere, der stiller spørgsmål til, hvordan mennesker med forskellige marginaliserede identiteter oplever byen fra deres perspektiv. Sammen har forskere og deltagere skabt en udstilling af fotos, kort og data-illustrationer, der fortæller deltagernes historier om København som et inkluderende og eksklusivt rum.
Åbning den 25. august 16-19, inkluderer en samtale med de to forskere bag projektet, Drude Emilie Ehn og Sofie Thorsen fra Gehl Architects og AAU samt urbanist Niels Bjørn.

I fire saloner stiller Niels Bjørn spørgsmålet “Hvem er byen for?” Indenfor byudviklingen har der været en forestilling om, at byen designes og udvikles til alle. Men der er begyndt at dukke undersøgelser op, som viser, det ikke er tilfældet. Som mennesker oplever vi byen forskelligt, og i de forskelle spiller forhold som førlighed, etnicitet og køn en væsentlig rolle.
Til salonerne kan du møde en række af de mennesker, som har lavet nogle af de nye undersøgelser, nogle som har medvirket i dem, og nogle, som forsøger at udvikle metoder, der er mere inkluderende, så byen reelt kan blive for alle.
De tre første saloner fortæller om nye undersøgelser. I den fjerde og sidste salon forsøger vi at tage konsekvensen af den nye viden og finde frem til, hvad der skal gøres anderledes, hvis flere skal opleve sig inkluderet i byerne.
Spor, rum, sted – En udstilling om stedsans i fotografiet

I forlængelse af Copenhagen Architecture Festival 2022 x Sense of Place, inviterer vi alle interesserede til at byde ind på vores open call 'Spor, rum, sted', som skal resultere i en gruppeudstilling i Prospekt – et nyt udstillingssted i Eriksgade 15, 1708 København V, i perioden 6. - 27. oktober 2022.
Med udstillingen 'Spor, rum, sted' vil vi prøve at undersøge hvad der skaber et sted, og med fotografiet at vise det - eller at genskabe en tilstand fotografen befandt sig i.

Summer is not over yet, and we return from summer vacation with a lot of exciting events in Copenhagen. We are opening a new exhibition, Urban Belonging, about the research project of the same name, which will be accompanied by a series of conversation salons addressing how inclusivity in urban space is experienced by different groups. We are also holding a mini-symposium on the biggest urban challenges of our time, where we will be visited, among others, by the legendary sociologist Saskia Sassen, the man behind Paris' 15-minute city Carlos Moreno, and architect, curator and author Martha Thorne. Mini-Symposium: Sustainable Cities with Saskia Sassen, Carlos Moreno & Martha Thorne

Copenhagen Architecture Festival is proud to present the internationally recognized urban thinkers Carlos Moreno, Martha Thorne and Saskia Sassen.
Through a presentation of their individual work and in the joint discussion that follows, they will address important questions surrounding the creation of sustainable cities: what are the most pressing challenges facing our cities today, and what are the solutions?

The city is mostly developed on the idea that we all experience the city in the same way and that we can design places that feel common to everyone. With the study Urban Belonging, this is challenged by a team of urban planners and researchers, who questioned how people with different marginalized identities experience the city, from their own perspective. Together, researchers and participants have created an exhibition of photos, maps and data illustrations that tell the participants' stories about Copenhagen as an inclusive and exclusive space.
Opening on 25 August, 16:00-19:00 o'clock, including a conversation with the two researchers behind the project, Drude Ehn and Sofie Thorsen from Gehl Architects and AAU and urbanist Niels Bjørn.
In four salons, Niels Bjørn asks the question "Who is the city for?". The dominant notion in urban development is that the city is designed and developed for everyone. But studies are beginning to appear showing this is not the case. As people, we experience the city differently, and in those differences factors such as mobility, ethnicity and gender play a significant role.
At the salons, you can meet a number of researchers who have carried out some of these new studies, people who have participated in them, and others who are trying to develop methods that are more inclusive, so that the city can really be for everyone.
The first three salons talk about new studies. In the fourth and final salon, we address the consequences of having this new knowledge and try find out what needs to be done differently if more people are to feel included in the cities.
Spor, rum, sted – An exhibition on Sense of Place in photography

For Copenhagen Architecture Festival 2022 x Sense of Place, we invite all interested parties to respond to the photography open call 'Trace, Space, Place', which will result in a group exhibition at Prospekt - a new exhibition space in Eriksgade 15, 1708 Copenhagen V, taking place 6 - 27 October 2022. With the exhibition 'Trace, Space, Place' we will investigate what creates a place, using photography as the medium to show it - or to recreate the state of mind the photographer was in.

LINA is an association of 28 European architecture institutions that work to ensure that the construction industry can incorporate circular and sustainable processes, and which together stand for LINA's development program for young emerging architectural talents working with sustainability.
You can now apply to be part of LINA's Architecture Program, which is led by LINA's members consisting of curators, researchers, teachers and mediators from all over Europe, and assert your innovative ideas on the European architecture scene.
