Tools to Help Employers During Employer Agreement

It’s time to complete your Employer Agreement for 2023. Log on to Benefits Connect through Friday, October 7, to review your benefits choices and submit your Employer Agreement. This step-by-step guide can help as you consider which choices are right for your organization — and your employees.

As you make your selections, these tools in Benefits Connect can assist you:

It’s easy to carry over your 2022 benefits choices into 2023.
  1. Choose the No Changes to Employer Agreement button on the Start Here page of your Employer Agreement.
  2. You then will be taken to the Review & Submit page, showing your current benefits offerings with 2023 costs.
  3. Review to make certain the choices are still right for your organization and click Submit.
Contribution spreadsheet makes the math easy: If you offer medical coverage through the Board of Pensions, a link to a contribution spreadsheet on the medical page of your Employer Agreement lets you enter the dollar amounts you want to pay toward medical coverage and provides the contribution percentage you need to enter on the medical page.
God The Created out in Paperback

The second book by our Communications Coordinator, Benjamin Chicka, was just released in its paperback edition. To mark this event, it is available for 30% off through the end of the year. Click here to buy God the Created from SUNY Press with the coupon code: XNIP822

Here is what some prominent theologians have said about the book:

"Remarkable in its clarity, forcefulness, and orientation, Chicka's book belongs on the shelf of every person concerned with process thought." — Robert Cummings Neville, Professor Emeritus of Philosophy, Religion, and Theology and Dean Emeritus of the School of Theology at Boston University.

"This book goes beyond careful and critical description to creative formulation, and is itself a significant contribution to systematic theology. If, as I believe, the reality and nature of God is a question of great importance not only to members of the Abrahamic tradition but also for the 'spiritual but not religious,' clarifying where that debate stands is a major contribution to our culture." — John Cobb, Jr., Emeritus Ingraham Professor of Theology at the Claremont School of Theology and Avery Professor at Claremont Graduate University

PC(USA) Loan Assistance Program Changes for 2022: As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, federal student loan borrowers may receive credit for past periods of repayment on loans that otherwise would not qualify for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF). The Board of Pensions is providing a new resource — EdAssist — to ministers to help determine if they are eligible for PSLF and, if so, to assist them in the application process. Click here for more information about EdAssist and to start using the service.

Applications for Transition-to-College Assistance: A one-time grant from the Board of Pensions can help your family receive up to $3,000 for ancillary expenses — such as a computer purchase or dorm furnishings — if you have a dependent child entering post-high school education or training. Attendance at college, university, community college, and technical and trade schools qualify (excluding post-baccalaureate). Learn more about grant amounts, eligibility, required documentation, and how to apply. Then, call the Board of Pensions at 800-773-7752 (800-PRESPLAN) if you have questions.
