Dear <<First Name>>,

Bellona Europa and the CCS4CEE project consortium are pleased to invite you to the Building momentum for CCS deployment in the CEE region conference. The event will take place on the 6th of September, 9:00 to 15:00, at Residence Palace Brussels.

The purpose of the conference is to establish familiarity of regional actors with the EU-level CCS policy initiatives, to introduce funding opportunities that could be used to facilitate and accelerate the deployment of CCS projects in the region, as well as to enable and encourage communication and cooperation among regional stakeholders and EU representatives. We will host speakers and panellists representing the EU institutions (i.a. the European Parliament, and the European Commission) and Member States, CCS project developers from the CEE region, as well as civil society.

Please register to the event in order to confirm your participation. If you are not able to attend the conference in person, you can follow the event online.

We kindly ask you to register by 30 August for in-person attendance.

We look forward to seeing you there!

With warm regards,
Bellona Europa

The CCS4CEE project is funded by the EEA and Norway Grants and is implemented by a consortium comprised of WiseEuropa, Institute for European Integration; Civitta Latvija; Bellona Foundation; and Energy Policy Group. It is expected that building evidence-based consensus among key stakeholders will pave the way to implementing concrete policies and ventures. Deployment of CCS technologies is particularly important for the CEE region in order to accelerate industrial decarbonisation and thereby contribute to the EU’s goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2050 in a socially just way, leaving no one and no region behind.

Bellona Europa is an independent, non-profit organisation that meets environmental and climate challenges head on. We are solutions-oriented and have a comprehensive and cross-sectoral approach to assess the economics, climate impacts and technical feasibility of necessary climate actions. To do this, we work with civil society, academia, governments, institutions, and industries.
