The Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners approved agreements with The Centre for Women and the East Tampa Business and Civic Association to fund renovation and reconstruction programs for low-income residents. The programs allow families to continue living safely in their homes and improve existing housing stock by providing residents with financial assistance for needed repairs they otherwise couldn't afford.

The Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners approved a $1 million grant agreement for the design of the Hillsborough County African-American Arts & Cultural Center planned for the West Tampa Community Resource Center, 2103 N. Rome Ave., Tampa, FL 33607. Funding for the grant is provided by the Federal Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds program.

The Board of County Commissioners approved the Inter-City Ferry Service Interlocal Agreement between Hillsborough County, the City of Tampa, and the City of St. Petersburg for fiscal years 2023-2025. The Cross Bay Ferry will continue expanded seasonal service between Tampa and St. Petersburg, with the goal of year-round service by 2025. The ferry had over 62,000 riders this past season, and ridership is expected to continue growing.

The Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners approved a $123,945 matching program support grant agreement with the State of Florida Division of Arts and Culture. The Hillsborough County Arts Council will use the funding to help promote the development of Hillsborough County artists, institutions, and community organizations while enriching the lives of residents.
