Judge eternal,

Give us courage to take our stand
with all victims of bloodshed and greed,
and, following your servants and prophets,
look to Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. Amen.

Kits and Quilt Drive to the Finish!

Can we break last year’s record of 3 TONS of aid? The boxes are piling up! And the sewing machines are whirring!
To help:

• Help pack kits on Thursdays at 7 p.m. There are also projects that you can work on at home.

• The Comforters can always use extra hands. They meet Tuesday mornings beginning at 10 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall and will be putting quilts.

• This Sunday, August 14, come and help pack school kits in the Fellowship Hall in between services.

• The Kit and Quilt Blessing is Sunday, August 21. Comforters will meet at 10 a.m. on August 20 to set up the quilts in the Sanctuary.

• The LWR truck arrives at MLC the last weekend of August. Help is needed loading it between services on Sunday August 28th. If you have a hand-trock / dolly please bring it to church to help move the boxes. Thank you.

The Thermos sale to support the rescheduled Disaster Response Mission Trip continues. You’ll find them on the Mission Control Desk in the Narthex. They are $10 each. The new dates of the trip are September 21 - 25.

Chancel flowers beautify MLC's Sanctuary for Sunday Services of Worship and are given to the Glory of God in memory or honor a loved one or special occasion of a MLC household / member.
The cost to sponsor flowers is $30 per household and includes an optional dedication of your choice. You will be given the option to take flowers home after the late service concludes.
Up to two households can sponsor flowers per Sunday.
