Robin Gillan

Upstairs @ The Brewhouse & Kitchen
Thursday, 6th October, 8pm

Welcome back, to a bright star of London's American old-time scene (though now based in Cambridge).
Robin sings, and plays fiddle and banjo superbly, not to mention guitar, harmonica, melodeon and mandolin, as required. Until recently he was good enough to fill the considerable hole left by Tom Paley in The New Deal String Band, but is equally compelling as a solo performer.

Robin's wide-ranging repertoire is drawn primarily from the rural music of the USA but also represents the British Isles. A fascinating musician who has blipped the radar of players across and beyond the folk scene, including: Peggy Seeger, Bruce Molsky, Yehudi Menuhin and Noel Gallagher.

Enough said...see you there.

Cash, card or contactless, entry still only:
£6 members, £8 non-members (including £2 membership),
concessions available.

Remember your membership is valid until 31st December
