Celebration Breakfast for
Haut Gap Teachers & Staff

Thank you to all who prepared and served delicious breakfast casseroles, homemade breads, and fresh fruit for our Mission Partners at Haut Gap Middle School. Principal Travis Benintendo shared how St. John's Parish Church continues to play an invaluable role in the transformation of the school and community.  After telling the teachers and staff about our new worship space in the cafeteria, Father Jeremy prayed a blessing over the school year.

Disaster Relief for Kentucky

Once the floods in Eastern Kentucky subside, we will have opportunities to provide relief to those affected by the disaster. Currently we are looking for financial donations which should be directed to St Johns Parish Church and include Kentucky flood relief in the memo line.

We will be putting together flood buckets that will include infant and school supplies. More details to follow. On site relief will also include supporting the food kitchens out of a school cafeteria and delivering the flood buckets. Stephen Haynsworth is our Parish Disaster Response Coordinator and will be providing more details soon.

Anglican Relief and Development Fund® (ARDF)

ARDF has trusted partners willing and able to respond to crises. You can support them by donating to their Joseph Fund. This fund exists to get funds out quickly to churches and affiliated nonprofits to support the efforts of volunteers responding to the crisis.

If you would like to support this cause, you can either donate through St. John's Parish Church and write Anglican Relief Fund or ARDF on your gift or go to the Anglican Relief Donation Page https://ardf.org/joseph-fund.

Collect

Aug 14
Keep your Church, O Lord, by your perpetual mercy; and because without you the frailty of our nature causes us to fall, keep us from all things hurtful, and lead us to all things profitable for our salvation; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.  Amen.

Prayer for Kentucky

Almighty God, giver of life and restorer of all things; provide the light of your Son Jesus Christ to shine in the midst of darkness for the people of both eastern and western portions of Kentucky. Abide with them through clean up, restoration, and rebuilding. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, Lord in your mercy. Hear our prayer.

Prayer for Ukraine

Heavenly Father, we pray for Christians to persevere through war; we ask you for peace, the presence of Almighty God, to be with all people in Ukraine. May the Spirit preside over your people. Through your only Son our Savior Jesus Christ.  Lord, in your mercyHear our prayer.
