Volunteers Needed – Annual Conference Planning

Are you interested in meeting and event planning? LAND is looking for volunteers to support our Conference Planning Chair in soliciting and selecting speakers, planning the agenda, working with poster sessions, recruiting and working with sponsors and exhibitors, and helping with day of logistics.

LAND is still looking to fill three roles on our board as well! Please email LAND@eatrightlouisiana.org if you are interested in any of these positions:

Professional Development Chair (Lead the planning of our annual conference in collaboration with the President Elect)
Nominating Committee Chair Elect (2 year position - help recruit LAND's next leaders! Work with the Nominating Committee Chair to learn the ropes your first year so you are confident to take the lead your second year)
State Regulatory Specialist (work with LAND Public Policy Committee, lobbyist, and the LBEDN with the support of Academy staff on issues surrounding Louisiana's licensure - no experience necessary; training is provided)

Diet Manual Reviewers Needed

LAND is looking for our next round of reviewers for our diet manual. Compensation is $0.05 per word, and we are looking for volunteers on the following topics:

Gastrointestinal Diets
HIV, AIDS, Cancer
Enteral Nutrition
Resources, References

Nominations for National Offices Now Open!

Do you know someone who would be a great candidate for the national Academy’s ballot? Nominations are now open! The Nominating Committee is accepting nominations for visionary and dedicated individuals for the following 2023 national ballot positions. Nominations for the positions of president-elect, speaker-elect and treasurer-elect close September 2, 2022. Nominations for all other positions are due by October 24, 2022.
