Program Spotlight

Germany: Business, Sustainability, and Innovation/IES

Imagine studying Global Business and then taking a trip to BMW's manufacturing plant in Munich. Or learning about Business Ethics and then attending a talk at the Potsdam Institute of Climate Research. On this program, all of your classes will include course-related trips that take you out of the classroom and into the real world, with visits to startups, businesses, and organizations in and around Berlin.

Berlin is at the center of European and global politics and economics and, along with the rest of Germany, it leads the way in sustainability efforts, with an ambitious plan to become completely carbon neutral by 2050.

If you’re looking to study Business, Sustainability, and Innovation in one of the world’s most historically, economically, politically, and culturally exciting cities, you can’t beat Berlin.

Student Experiences

On this episode of Abroaden Your Horizons, we interview study abroad returnee and recent graduate, Ryan Nazari. When Ryan was an undergrad, he studied abroad on the Italy: Rome/LUC program.

Now he is a part of Fulbright, teaching English in Armenia.

Ryan discusses both of his experiences abroad, how they relate to each other, and helpful tips about navigating cultural adjustments, studying abroad during the age of COVID-19, and more.
