Back-to-School Health Fair

Even though schools have already opened, if you’re still in need of school supplies, stop by the Back-to-School Health Fair tomorrow from 9 a.m. to noon at the AccessHealth Missouri City Clinic located at 307 Texas Pkwy. Health screenings and immunizations are available; please bring shot records.

Restaurant Incentive Program Applications Now Open

Applications are now being accepted for the Texas Parkway and Cartwright Road Restaurant Incentive Program. For more information on eligibility criteria, types of incentives and to apply online, visit the City Website.

We Need Your Input for a New Park 

Calling all residents in Fonmeadow, Fondren Park and nearby subdivisions to share ideas for the new park coming on the parkland located at East Hampton Circle and Kathy Avenue. The City, in partnership with Halff Associates, hosted three public meetings already. In case you missed those, residents are invited to join the last meeting on Aug. 22 to share feedback on potential land-usage ideas and more.

Are You Registered to Vote? 

Now is a good time for citizens to verify their voter status. Missouri City will hold a General Election on Tuesday, Nov. 8 and the positions on the ballot are for Mayor, At-Large Position 1 and At-Large Position 2 Councilmembers.

Residents are encouraged to register to vote, or if already registered, to check their registration status by visiting www.votetexas.gov. For all county-level information, visit the appropriate county here: Fort Bend | Harris

The terms for the positions on the MCTX ballot will expire November 2025. For more details on this General Election, visit the City Website.

Weather Outlook: Heat & Hurricane Season

Temperatures are expected continue in the 90s. Citizens are advised to follow summer safety tips, including staying hydrated and checking on the elderly, kids and pets. The 2022 Hurricane Season also continues until November 30.
