Registration for Endorsement Meeting Closes Tonight

Please register to join the Houston LGBTQ+ Political Caucus PAC for our 2022 General Election Endorsement Meeting!

This will be a closed meeting, only voting members and candidates seeking endorsement may attend.

To attend, you must:

Register by Friday, August 12 at 11:59 PM CT in order to give our all-volunteer team time to verify your membership and voting eligibility.
Be eligible to vote at the meeting or be a candidate seeking our endorsement. In order to be eligible to vote at the meeting, you must have become a member by August 3 at 11:59 PM CT per Article 4 Section 1 of our Bylaws.

Saving Your Meeting Link

Many members double or triple register for meetings for a variety of reasons. This places an undue burden on our all-volunteer team during the credentialing process. Please be sure you:

Check your Spam/Junk folder for your Zoom link before emailing.
Have registered with the name and email we have in our membership records. Registering with a different name or email will delay registration or result in rejection.
Save your meeting link in your calendar. Zoom has options to save to Calendar.ics (Apple), Google Calendar, or Yahoo Calendar when it sends you your link. You can also copy and paste the link into a calendar appointment you create. We highly recommend doing this to avoid lost links.

Keep Your Voter Status Updated

Don't have any bad surprises! Resistbot has a service where they will automatically check your voter status every four weeks and text you if anything changes. It's a free service alongside their main system of letting you write to your elected officials. Simply text CHECK to 50409 to get started.

Education & Advocacy Meeting On Monday!

Summer is almost over, and schedules are shifting. Bouts of COVID and busy schedules have kept us from reconvening post-Summer fundraiser, but we're ready to get back to it!

Typically, the Education and Advocacy Committee meets the first Monday of the month at 7PM. Due to illness and travel, this month's meeting will be Monday, August 15th from 7-8PM. Our Elections co-chairs, Daniel Williamson and Luis Adame, will be visiting to present an opportunity for collaboration. We will discuss our priorities through the end of this year. Email education@thecaucus.org for the meeting link.
