The team at Komite Ayiti, Inc. would like to thank you for attending the 2nd Annual Haitian Caribbean Festival this past Sunday at the Patterson Park Observatory (Pagoda). This event wouldn't have been possible without the support of the Friends of Patterson Park, the Baltimore Community Foundation, MSI Integrative Healthcare, vendors, Chez Caco Kitchen, Pate-Son Park Patties, volunteers, and the performers. We hope you enjoyed yourselves and we can't wait to see you next year. Please take a moment to complete a 5 minute anonymous survey about your experience at the festival here

Haitian Caribbean Festival Recap

What a vibe? The Haitian Caribbean Festival was amazing. If you weren't there you missed out. Don't worry you can watch a recap of the event here. De Musical Prime Minister Neil Mattei hosted the festival while the Blazer DJs kept the music going. We had the Spirit of Ma'at show us their belly dancing routine. The White House Studios performed a traditional Caribbean dance and show the crowd a few steps. Next there was Nu30x Caribbean Soul providing a Caribbean spin to R&B hit songs. KKM Dance Class taught how us to dance to Kompa music. Before we got to the main act Komite Ayiti provided a history lesson about Bwa Kayiman while the Baltimore Rara Orchestra provided a drumming demonstration. Lastly, but not least, LOKAL provided us with the smooth sounds of Kompa that got the crowd dancing. Mayor Brandon M. Scott was there to experience the culture. We can't wait to see you next year!
