Hi <<First Name>>,

Hope this email finds you well. I'm so excited to share that we and our friends at matermea.com have been working on a very special project for Black moms and it's launching very soon. It's our way of doing something about the Black maternal health crisis.

When I heard that expecting moms with doulas are 3-4x more likely to have better birthing outcomes, I asked myself how every Black mom-to-be could have a doula? The immediate answer was to bring the information doulas provide to as many moms as possible. We'll be sharing more on this project soon. But to kick things off we're hosting a small event in NYC on 8/26 at 7pm

The event will be a panel discussion featuring Doula and Registered Nurse Ebony Harvey and Charles Johnson of 4Kira4Moms who's spent years fighting systemic bias in medicine after the passing of his wife. If you're a mom, expecting mom, or know a mom or mom-to-be, this event is for you! We'll be discussing what it means to be Black and pregnant in the US and what can be done now to ensure that more Black moms have positive birthing outcomes.

Cocktails will be served following the discussion. If you'd like to attend, RSVP by responding to this email!  (Space is limited).
