Advancing nonprofit mission with Booth expertise
We value you and want you to be the first to know of everything BANC-related. Here's a special advance look at the email that is going to the entire Chicago-based Booth community next week:
Dear <<First Name>>,

BANC is excited to announce a new round of pro bono projects with six Chicago area nonprofits with diverse missions. Our new projects offer unique opportunities to work with nonprofits focused on diversity, mental health, youth, and the arts. Five clients are new to BANC; one is a returning client.

Apply today to join fellow alumni passionate about giving back, broadening peer networks and eager to recapture the fun of working with fellow Booth grads.

We will be hosting four live virtual information sessions on August 30 and September 7 to provide an introduction to BANC and the projects. Learn more and register HERE.

Meet the six nonprofits (CLICK HERE for more information about these organizations, project details, and relevant skills):

Have Dreams helps individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder realize their full potential with innovative and compassionate programs. The Have Dreams Academy (HDA) partners with employers, including major corporations, to develop critical social, communication and independence skills that help participants succeed in the workforce.
Project Objective: Grow and scale the Have Dreams Academy Program to include more clients, internship sites and employers.

Healthcare Alternative Systems, Inc. (H.A.S.) is a leader in providing multicultural and bilingual behavioral health resources for Chicago’s Latino community. It serves a diverse population of adolescents and adults, offering programs targeting substance abuse, domestic violence, family relationships and more.
Project Objective: Recommend measurement methods to better evaluate the impact of the substance abuse program.

The International Music Foundation (soon to be rebranded Classical Music Chicago)'s mission is to expand access to classical music; enhance opportunities for artists early in their professional career; and to engage audiences through performance, education, and participation.
Project Objective: Develop a marketing plan for the organization’s free concerts.

Mudlark Theater is a not-for-profit organization where children learn theater by making it. Its training classes and camps teach life skills as well as theater arts and provide welcoming, inclusive spaces where the stories and identities of all youth are honored.
Project Objective: Develop a roadmap for the future to enable financial stability and sustainable growth.

Returning BANC client North Lawndale Employment Network (NLEN) assists low income North Lawndale residents, including those returning from incarceration, through innovative employment initiatives that lead to economic advancement and an improved quality of life. A key NLEN program is Sweet Beginnings, a social enterprise that sells honey and honey-based products and operates the beelove cafe as a welcoming destination in the community.
Project Objective: Develop a plan to collect and analyze customer data to improve products and services.

Project Exploration creates transformative learning experiences, pathways, and a community for youth underrepresented in STEM, especially low-income students, students of color and young women. It provides direct STEM learning opportunities. It also leads the Chicago STEM Pathways Cooperative, a coalition of educational institutions, government, civic institutions, businesses and other stakeholders, that works to address inequities in STEM learning.
Project Objective: Create a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy for both direct programming and for the STEM Pathways Cooperative.
