Dear Calvary Christian School Families,

We are looking forward to another great year at CCS! It was so fun to see so many of your smiling faces on campus today. We wanted to give you some helpful information for tomorrow.

• Our Before/After School Program begins TOMORROW morning at 6:30am. Need to sign up for a plan? Click HERE. Drop-ins are welcome!
• Students should wear school uniforms (no T-shirts) TOMORROW. On Friday, students may wear their "Know Him" shirt with blue jeans. Blue jean shorts are ok if they follow our dress code guidelines (no more than 3" above the knee).

• Click HERE if you need to order PE uniforms (5th - 8th grades ONLY).

DROP OFF AND PICK UP
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL: TUES,  AUG. 16

Parents may park in the Wellington Avenue lot and walk children on to campus! We will have a Spirit Assembly in the Gym for Kinder - 5th Grade students at 8:30am. Parents are welcome to attend and can wave goodbye to their children at the end of the assembly. Students will be dismissed to go to class first!

We will have 3 photo stations set up around campus:

• In the Courtyard by the Worship Center
• Near the Gym on the handball wall
• In the Fruit St. parking lot where our staff will be taking a picture. We will send out a link for you to download your child's photo!

 
MORNING DROP OFF
Please enter the Wellington Avenue lot from the direction of Cabrillo Park Dr. rather than Tustin Ave. This will allow the line to trail down Wellington Avenue AWAY FROM Tustin Ave. This opens up the first driveway of the Wellington Ave. lot for preschool parents who are parking and walking in to drop off their children and it helps keep the traffic from backing up to Tustin Ave. Starting Wednesday, August 17th, all students must be dropped off utilizing the carline.

FAMILIES WITH A CHILD IN THE PRESCHOOL
You will park in the Wellington Ave. lot and walk to the preschool check-in area. Once you are in Room A101, you may send your K-8 child out the back door of A101. Your child(ren) will walk down the hallway to the playground while you check in your preschool aged child. If you pick-up your preschool child at 3 p.m., your older child will be walked out the gate at the end of the A building, closest to the Worship Center. Please wait in the seating area and we will bring your child to you.

MIDDLE SCHOOL AFTERNOON PICK-UP
If you have student in 6th - 8th Grade ONLY (6th-8th grade students with a sibling in 4th or 5th grade are permitted), you will enter from the Fruit St. side of campus. You will turn right into the first driveway and make an immediate left into the first lane. Follow the path down to the back gate to pick up your child. Then turn left to exit the parking lot.
 

IMPORTANT CARLINE REMINDERS

• Drive slowly at ALL times, following the marked path.
• Follow the car in front of you, please do not pull around or pass the person in front of you.
• Do not use your cell phone while in car line.
• Parents should remain in the car at ALL times.
• It is very helpful if student car seats are behind the passenger seat (NOT the driver) so they are entering and exiting the car in the safety of the "cone zone."
• Make sure your child is attentive and ready to exit the vehicle having already gathered his/her backpack, water bottle, and other items.
• Please do not use car line to talk to staff members or teachers. They have been instructed to help keep traffic moving as quickly as possible and will kindly ask you to correspond with them via email.
• In the morning:
  • Elementary parents are encouraged to come around 8:15/8:20am when the line has shortened considerably rather than joining the 8am line up.
  • The back gate will be closed promptly at 8:25am. After this time, you will need to go to the front office to check your child in. PLEASE help us by arriving BEFORE 8:25am.
• In the afternoon:
  • Siblings are instructed to wait with the youngest child in the family so that parents have one stop for all children in the family.
  • The back gate will be unlocked between 2:30 and 2:45pm. Please do NOT line up before this time.
