Hello, dear <<First Name>>!

As the academic year begins, we want to celebrate God’s faithfulness. He has been with us all the way through. His loving and mighty hand has taken care of us, and his precious calling continues to be confirmed.

We had a wonderful time with our family visiting. Afterward, I was able to visit my mother in Colombia after the passing of her brother, and her uncle, who passed away 20 days before this. And then, we closed the summer with a wonderful retreat with our family church in Wheaton.
It’s been a blessing for us to connect with our family after an intense period of studying and living in a foreign country far from home. God is so good!

Another wonderful news we want to share is that Loida has started an online master’s program in Biblical Studies at SETECA (Central American Theological Seminary) in Guatemala. This is another dream come true, and another leap of faith! Loida holds a B.A. in Theology from FUSBC (Biblical Seminary of Colombia), therefore this graduate program will better equip her to train pastors and leaders in the faithful study of Scriptures too! This means that our (yours and ours) investment in the Kingdom of God will have a greater impact as we both complete advanced training for the service of the Church in Latin America. What a beautiful privilege!

Finally, we just want to say that we don’t take your partnership represented in love, prayers, and financial support for granted. We are so privileged of having you as part of our team. Praise and thanksgiving constantly go to the Lord because of your obedience to his calling.

Thank you so much!

P.S. Please remember to send us your prayer requests, and please remember praying for my Theological French exam tomorrow!

From Loida:

“We always thank God for all of you and continually mention you in our prayers. We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Thessalonians 1:2-3 NIV)

Dear friends,

Our gratitude towards you is greater than what we can express with words. During these three years in which we have been away from our family, you have known how to be our family. We have been away from our local church, and you have been our church. We have been depending completely on our God, and you have allowed him to bless us through you, and "it is indisputable that the person who blesses is superior to the one who receives the blessing" (Hebrews 7:7).

This collage is just a sample of what each one of you, who are reading this letter, have done. Your visits have filled our hearts with a joy that brings us to tears of gratitude. The letters, cards, and gifts that have been sent to us have been signed by God.
“How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you?” (1 Thessalonians 3:9)

¡We love you in Christ!
