2022 WALGA Aboriginal Forum, 5 October
Kanan - Dhabagarn - Wabirriny
|
|
WALGAs annual Aboriginal Engagement and Reconciliation Forum is being held on Wednesday 5 October 2022, themed Kanan - Dhabagarn - Wabirriny (Truth - Justice - Healing).
At the forum you will hear from Aboriginal Leaders who are driving change within our communities, seeking to build a stronger understanding of reconciliation. The forum theme recognises the importance of reflecting on the past through truth telling and the sharing of personal journeys. Together we will explore the meaning behind justice and understand Local Government’s role in closing the gap and achieving equality.
Speakers include the Hon Dr Tony Buti MLA, Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, as well as presentations from Social Reinvestment W.A and the City of Perth Yacker Danjoo Ngala Bidi (Working Together Our Way) commitment.
For more information on the forum or to register please visit WALGA Website.
