DOWNTOWN OKC BID ADVISORY BOARD
AUGUST 17 | APPLICATIONS DUE TODAY

The Downtown Oklahoma City Business Improvement District (BID) is accepting applications for the BID Advisory Board through the end of day today. The BID Advisory Board oversees the BID which manages, maintains, and markets the downtown area. In order to serve, applicants must understand and meet the following requirements:

Applicants must own property within the BID boundary or be the designated representative of a property owner within the BID boundary.
New board member terms begin October 1, 2022.
Terms are two years and may be renewed twice for a total of 6 consecutive years of service. The BID Board meets 6 times per year.

SCISSORTAIL PARK CONCERTS

DANCING IN THE GARDENS

Join the Myriad Gardens for their first ever Kpop-themed Dancing in the Gardens! This Friday, August 19 from 7-10pm RACE Dance Company will lead attendees in learning Kpop dances, followed by a Dance Showcase and Random Dance!

The event will take place on the Seasonal Plaza where all are welcome to join. Come early or stay late, The Big Friendly will be serving beer, and guests can purchase food from Oh My Gogi and Big Biang Theory. The event is free and open to all ages. 2022 WORLD PADDLESPORT FESTIVAL
AUGUST 26 - 28 | RIVERSPORT OKC

Oklahoma City will welcome athletes from more than 20 countries for the 2022 World Paddlesport Festival event at Riversport OKC from August 26 - August 28 featuring top paddlers from around the world competing in Super Cup and World Cup events, and the community is invited to attend!

The weekend begins with a World Party on Friday evening! The ticketed event will include opening ceremonies featuring athletes from each country. The public is invited to attend the World Party alongside athletes. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased online at riversportokc.org.

As races take place throughout the weekend on Saturday and Sunday, Riversport’s adventures will be open with specially priced passes for $29.99. After competitions commence on Saturday evening, stick around to view fireworks at the closing of racing. Then, grab dinner from the Big Water Grill & Bar which will be open along with food trucks. RED BULL RAPIDS
AUGUST 27 | RIVERSPORT OKC

Red Bull Rapids is a wild whitewater race that will take place on Saturday, August 27 in conjunction with the World Paddlesport Festival. In its 11-year history, this marks the first time that Red Bull Rapids has ever taken place in the United States – and it’s happening at Riversport OKC in the Boathouse District!

Hundreds of rapid seekers from Oklahoma and beyond will compete in this group challenge where 50 teams are selected to create their very own man-made vessels to race down a 258-yard whitewater rapid course. The community is invited to attend and watch competitors race. Gates will open at 10am with races beginning at 12pm. Admission is free and open to the public.
