There is SO MUCH in this edition of the GEALC News! I hope you enjoy it.
Adult Learners Week is starting NEXT WEEK... We have some fantastic activities to celebrate our learning, like our movie and barbecue night (Thursday 1 Sept), a special excursion to the Melbourne Museum (Monday 5 Sept) and Bingo Brunch (Wednesday 7 Sept). You must register to join!
Another important event happening next week is GEALC's FOOD DRIVE. We are collecting pantry supplies to give to CIS Glen Eira who support local people in need. Please see the poster below for examples of things to donate. I hope we can collect LOTS of pantry items and make a real difference! There will be a box in the kitchen where you can put your donations. Thank you!
Also next week on Thursday 1 September, we have our final Winter Health Series information session from 11.00am-12.00pm. The focus is Mental Health & Wellbeing, with speakers from Connect Health and Alfred Health.
Finally, the Health Translations newsletter is a good way to stay up-to-date with the latest multilingual resources on Covid-19 vaccines, aged care, cancer, medication, bowel, arthritis, skin, oral health, heart, abuse, LGBTIQA+, Centrelink and many more. Click here to view.
Hope to see you soon at GEALC! Have a great week, 🙂 Lindy
