Neugierig auf innovative Produktionsmöglichkeiten? Interessiert an nachhaltig arbeitenden Fertigungsbetrieben, GOTS zertifizierten Stoffen und kleinen Mindestabnahmequantitäten? Durstig auf Expertenwissen in den Bereichen Nachhaltigkeit, faire Produktion und Markenschutz?

Dann jetzt registrieren, für die Kreativwirtschaftsbörse Mode, am 13. September 2022 im MuseumsQuartier Wien! Der Eintritt ist frei!

An etwa 25 Ausstellungsständen findet man Stoffe in geringen Abnahmemengen, lernt qualitäts- und nachhaltigkeitsbewusste Produzent_innen kennen und verschafft sich einen Überblick über die Produktions- und Servicestrukturen im Mode- und Accessoirebereich.

In Talks mit u. a. Gründerin, Dozentin und Beraterin Sabinna Rachimova, Vertreter_innen der Clean Clothes Campaign Österreich sowie des Österreichischen Patentamts gewinnt man Einblicke in die jeweiligen Fachbereiche und hat auch Gelegenheit, Fragen zu stellen.

Organisiert wird das Matchmakingformat von der Kreativwirtschaft Austria der WKÖ und der AUSSENWIRTSCHAFT AUSTRIA in Zusammenarbeit mit der Austrian Fashion Association und der MQ Vienna Fashion Week.

WIENER BLUSE

Aufruf zur Ausstellungsteilnahme

"Die Wiener Bluse ist heutzutage ein unentbehrliches Kleidungsstück der Berlinerinnen geworden. Es prangt in Theatern, Konzerten wie in den Ballsälen und bei Spiel und Sport. [...] Sie ist kleidsam, einfach und besitzt eben den eigenen Wiener Chic", stellte die Neue Freie Presse bereits im Jahr 1903 fest. Bis in die 1980er Jahre war die Wiener Bluse ein weltweit gefragtes und verkauftes Produkt.

Jetzt möchte sie das Austrian Fashion Board wieder vor den Vorhang holen und lädt Österreichs Modeschaffende dazu ein, ihre kontemporäre Interpretation der Wiener Bluse zu schaffen. Die eingereichten Modelle werden von Modehistorikerin Regina Karner und Modejournalistin Brigitte Winkler juriert.

Ausgewählte Arbeiten werden dann im Rahmen einer Wanderausstellung präsentiert, die Vernissage findet am 9. November im Narrenturm des Alten AKH in Wien statt.

An der Teilnahme Interessierte werden gebeten, ihre Zusage an board@austrianfashion.org zu schicken und erhalten dann alle wichtigen Eckdaten und Informationen. Anmeldeschluss ist der 29. August 2022.

AFA Ausstellung in New York bis zum 30. September verlängert

Die Ausstellung Crafting Fashion for Possible Futures, kuratiert von Camille Boyer und Miriam Kathrein für die Austrian Fashion Association, geht in die Verlängerung!

Der umfassende Überblick über zeitgenössisches österreichisches Modedesign im Austrian Cultural Forum New York präsentiert die Arbeiten von 14 Modeschaffenden und Labels, die in ihrer Arbeit Felder wie Identitätspolitik, Aktivismus, Nachhaltigkeit oder die Interdependenz von traditionellen Produktionsprozessen und neue Technologien erforschen.

Then register now, for the Kreativwirtschaftsbörse Mode, on September 13, 2022 at MuseumsQuartier Vienna! Admission is free!

At approximately 25 exhibition booths you can find fabrics at small minimum order quantities, get to know quality- and sustainability-conscious producers and get an overview of the production and service structures in the fashion and accessories sector.

In talks with founder, lecturer and consultant Sabinna Rachimova, representatives of the Clean Clothes Campaign Austria as well as of the Austrian Patent Office and others, you gain insights into the respective departments and also have the opportunity to ask questions.

The matchmaking format is organized by the Kreativwirtschaft Austria of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber and ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA in cooperation with the Austrian Fashion Association and the MQ Vienna Fashion Week.

VIENNESE BLOUSE

Call for participation in exhibition

"Nowadays, the Viennese blouse has become an indispensable piece of clothing for Berlin women. It is emblazoned in theatres, concerts, ballrooms and in games and sports. [...] It is flattering, simple and has its own Viennese chic," said die Neue Freie Presse as early as 1903. Until the 1980s, the Viennese blouse was a product that was in demand and sold worldwide.

Now the Austrian Fashion Board wants to bring it back in front of the curtain and invites Austria's fashion designers to create their contemporary interpretation of the Viennese blouse. The models submitted will be judged by fashion historian Regina Karner and fashion journalist Brigitte Winkler.

Selected works will then be presented as part of a traveling exhibition, the vernissage will take place on November 9, 2022 in the Narrenturm of the old AKH in Vienna.

Those interested in participating are asked to send their consent to board@austrianfashion.org and will then receive all the important key data and information. The registration deadline is August 29, 2022.

The comprehensive overview of contemporary Austrian fashion design at the Austrian Cultural Forum New York presents 14 fashion designers and labels that explore and examine fields such as identity politics, activism, sustainability or the interdependence of traditional production processes and new technologies.
