AYE Summer programmes
This summer, our youth team is focusing on outreach detached work and on summer intervention programmes. We're partnering with Monkstown Boxing Club and RCity.
We also did some work with our Emerge group, to prepare them to progress for the new intake of our Monkstown Ardoyne Diversity and Empowerment Programme, and with our Her Voice Young Women's Group, reflecting on self-image and on the impact of society's perceptions of young women.
Some of our young women facilitated our annual workshop for University of Massachusetts Armagh Peace Building Summer School, where our young people and youth workers share their views and experience as young people living in Ardoyne, Shankill and surrounding areas. This year, the young people added a walk-and-talk session, and we also put the Summer School in touch with Belfast Friendship Club for a Small Worlds workshops.

The team will continue its summer intervention and outreach detached work throughout August, and also help facilitate this weekend's events with Ardoyne Youth Club, Marrowbone Youth Club, Feile an Tuaiscuirt and Ardbone Fest.
