A Summer Update
Dear Friends,
We hope this letter finds you doing well! We are praising the Lord for an incredibly fruitful summer! The Lord has been so good, and I am so excited to tell you of all the Lord has done!
Camp with Faith Independent Baptist Church
We began our summer ministry with Faith Independent Baptist Church in Enterprise, AL. We camped out at a state park in Florida and met with the Lord for a few days! It was awesome to see the juniors and teens learning about the incredible creation the Lord has given us and also growing in His Word! We are excited to be back again next year with the folks at FIBC!
VBS at Star Baptist Church
For the third year in a row, we joined the folks at Star Baptist Church in Williamsburg, KY, for Vacation Bible School. The Lord gave us an awesome week! On the night the Lord led me to preach a clear salvation message, three of the six teens responded. We saw multiple kids saved throughout the week. Sometimes we can be disappointed if the crowd is not as large as we had hoped, but I was reminded that if the Lord works in only one life, it is worth it all!
VBS at New Life Baptist Church
For the first time, I was able to preach an entire week of VBS for the teen program at our home church. I have helped or participated in many of these, but I have never had an opportunity to preach the whole week. It was an overwhelmingly blessed week. The church saw a record number of kids in attendance with around 27 professions of faith. We also saw really good numbers in the teen program with 12 teens making a profession of faith! Almost 40 saved in all!! It was an incredible week!
Camp at the Circle C Youth Ranch
One of my favorite stops has become the Circle C Youth Ranch in Miami, FL. This was the second summer we have been able to preach for them. First Baptist Church of Westwood Lakes operates a day camp with hundreds of kids and teens. Many of these teens are unchurched and unsaved. I was able to preach 26 times during the week - 5 chapels on most days and twice in the church. Dozens of campers gave a visible testimony that they had received the Lord as their Savior! It was an exhausting week in many ways, but what a thrill it was to see the Lord work in such a mighty way!
Bible Baptist Church - Fort Pierce, FL
We spent the 4th of July weekend preaching for Pastor Keely and the sweet folks at Bible Baptist Church in Fort Pierce, FL. It is always a joy to minister to this growing and thriving church! The Lord gave us a great Sunday! We enjoyed celebrating the 4th of July with a south Florida flair - fireworks and friend fish!
Revival Weekend with Martin County Baptist Church
Our hearts have grown close to the Welker and Soy families in Jenson Beach, FL. We so enjoy anytime we can visit with them and especially when we can minister in their church! On Friday night, I preached at a youth rally at the church. Praise the Lord for three teens that placed their faith in Christ! On Saturday we enjoyed fellowship with the church, and on Sunday we had a great day of ministry. It is always hard to say goodbye to people you love, but we are excited about all the Lord is doing in the church and people of MCBC.
Spanish Bible Study
The Lord opened up a last minute door for me to be able to preach for a church planting pastor in Miami. Each Tuesday night, Pastor Louis hosts a Bible study in his house. Most of those in attendance are Spanish speaking. It was so neat to meet and study the Word together! It also gave me great practice in speaking with an interpreter before we headed to Panama!
VBS at Beacon Baptist Church
Our final stop in south Florida was with the incredible people at Beacon Baptist Church in Jupiter, FL. I taught an object lesson each day for the around three hundred boys and girls and also got to teach the 3rd-6th grade class twice during the week. We had so much fun ministering with the Pastor Blalock, and the people at BBC. We saw several kids saved, and we are excited to hopefully be back next year for another week of VBS!
VBS at Calvary Baptist Church
Last night we finished up our last VBS for the 2022 summer! The Lord gave us a good week with the folks at Calvary Baptist Church! I preached to the teens each night and also helped in the rally times. Bethany's father is the pastor here, and it is always a joy to serve the Lord with family! We are looking forward to being back with these sweet folks in October for revival services!
Another Update Soon
Last week we had our first ever Missions Initiative Trip. A team of 10 went to the country of Panama, and the Lord gave us a truly life-changing week. There is too much to tell so I will be writing another update for you soon! I cannot wait to share with you all that the Lord did in this incredible week! The Lord is growing this ministry!

Later today we will hit the road for a busy week of camp ahead. Please do pray with us for the meetings we have coming up this month! We need the Lord to work in each and every one!
