Thank you to everyone for a very enjoyable Round 13. We had so many teams playing at Home last weekend and it was great to see teams treating each other, umpires and visiting players and officials with respect and having fun. That is what we are all about as a club - a welcoming, safe and enjoyable space for all to enjoy our great game. Thank you.
U8 and U9 Lightning Carnival
Our U8 and U9 mixed teams finish the season this Sunday with a 'festival of football' - a round robin style Lightning Carnival. Expect to see a hive of activity, cars parked in every possible location in and around the ground, over 1000 kids running around, and the buzz and general controlled mayhem you would expect to see when 20-odd football clubs descend on the one place for about 50 footy games of modified rules footy. Loads of fun and a great opportunity to showcase our club, grounds, facilities and make some money from canteen sales on the day.

Team Managers will be sending around a roster for parents to volunteer to assist with set up, pack up, BBQ, coffee service etc - get in quick to nominate your preferred time. We do require all available slots to be filled in order to ensure a successful day.

Home Games Round 14
Please note that due to us hosting the Lightning Carnival that home games have been moved to Moorleigh Reserve in Bentleigh East or Albert Park. Please check the SMJFL fixtures and TeamApp for updates.
U10 Lightning Carnival
The U10 mixed and girls Lightning Carnival will take place at JL Murphy Reserve on Sunday August 14th. Fixtures, information and roster will be sent out as soon as it has been finalised by the SMJFL. All home game information will also be shared once Round 15 fixture has been confirmed.
Our last Family Dinner Night is next Wednesday August 10th
Next Wednesday is the last training night for the season for many teams and we would love to see everyone in the clubrooms from 5.30pm for a team dinner to celebrate a great season and congratulate teams that have made it through to the finals.
There will be a bumper raffle and footy cards for everyone that brings a friend to training who is keen to give footy a go in season 2023. See you there!
Presentation Nights
Please save the following dates for our team presentation nights:
Wednesday October 5th from 5.30pm - U8 mixed, U9 mixed, U10 mixed, U11 mixed, U12 mixed
Wednesday October 12th from 5.30pm - U10 girls, U12 girls, U14 girls, U18 girls TBC
Our Port South and Port Saints alliance teams times, dates and venues will be confirmed asap.

Auskick to Junior Footy in 2023
Our Auskickers had their last session on Sunday July 24th and we were able to go along and encourage those eligible to play footy in 2023 (must turn 7 by April 30th 2023) to send in an expression of interest. It has been great to see so many sign ups for U8 mixed teams and U10 girls in 2023. See information here.
Registrations will open in early December.
Tik Tok Goal Umpire
Check out our visiting goal umpire, Rei Heggie (@guyglover on TikTok) who came along last Sunday to help umpire our U14 Div 1 girls game. Check out his great moves. He certainly added a touch of flamboyance to a great game.
