This Sunday, we will gather for our worship service in Brown Chapel at 10:30am. In addition, we will have our First Sundays Morningtide, as well as our Open Door Sunday School class at 9am.
Reminder: There will be no Children's or Youth programming this Sunday due to Church Family Month!
Here's an overview of the schedule:

All Sundays in August, kids & teens are invited to remain and participate in the entirety of our 10:30am worship service as a part of Church Family Month. Our 9am Kid's & Teen's Sunday School gatherings will also be put on pause for the month.
We love this opportunity to worship together as a whole community — as well as give our children’s & youth workers a month-long sabbath!
Nursery care will still be available for ages 0-3 during both the 9am Sunday School hour as well as our 10:30am worship service.

Also as part of Church Family Month, SDFC Kids & SDFC Youth are putting on a series of Family Fun Nights on Wednesdays throughout August as a chance for our kids, teens, and their families to have fun together!
Mark your calendars and plan to bring your family to join us on these remaining dates:
- August 10: Game Night (in the Youth Room)
- August 17: Movie Night (location TBA)
- August 24: Pool Night @ The Bendinelli's (3110 Udall St.)
- August 31: 5th Grade Launch Party (location TBA)

Our Nursery provides care for children ages 0-3 during both our 9am Sunday School hour as well as throughout our Sunday Morning Worship service. We love being able to offer the Nursery as a way to love and care for the young children in our congregation as well as their parents!
But, we can't do it without the help of our broader church community. Here are just a couple ways you can plug-in and support the SDFC Nursery:
- VOLUNTEER: We are always recruiting volunteers to work in the Nursery on Sunday mornings (both 9am & 10:30am hours!). Our hope is with enough people involved, no volunteer would be asked to serve more than once every other month on a rotating basis. Please let us know if you're interested in adding your name to our list of Nursery volunteers!
- DONATE: Over the next few weeks, we'll be collecting donations of gently-used toys and children's books to refresh our current stock in the Nursery. Feel free to contact Jordan to coordinate a drop-off if you have items you'd like to donate!

Join us on Sunday, August 21st for our annual Summer Celebration! We'll gather at Crown Point beginning at 10:30am for a brief worship service featuring reflections from all ages on some of our summer ministries and events.
Then afterwards, stick around to enjoy a free taco lunch prepared on-site, lawn games, and a time of fellowship to celebrate the end of summer!
Shade canopies and some chairs will be provided, but feel free to bring your own umbrella, chair, and/or picnic blanket as well.
We hope to have you there!

Rehearsals for this year’s Kid’s Choir Christmas Musical start up in September, so we are currently recruiting adult volunteers that would like to help out throughout the fall!
Come join us from 6-8pm on Wednesday nights as we work with the amazing kids of our community to get them performance-ready by December!

Sandy Ische leads our Grief Support Group that takes place Mondays from 6:30-8pm. The group is always open to new members!

Come and stop by open gym Pickleball Night happening every other Thursday in the FLC from 6:30-8pm. Bring your own paddle if you can!

- Rich & Heather Hills: The Hills Family appreciates your prayers for wisdom and safety as their kids, AJ & Dakota, are hiking near wildfires along the Pacific Crest Trail.
