AND THE HEAT GOES ON...to the tune of "the beat goes on". Rain has been very selective. We had very little rain here in the Oley Valley. Stream temps are up. Fishing is very limited, Little Lehigh and Poh. The Lehigh will drop of the list if this heat wave continues.

Anyway, Shane, Bill and I are going out on the Lehigh to do some research. We are hunting smallmouth bass.

Du to popular demand, I added a second EXPERT TRIP to the 2023 calendar. It will be in October at the farmhouse.

We are working out some dates for fly tying classes, and winter casting clinics with Dave and Derek. Details to come.

All three have good smallmouth fishing right now. White poppers are working really good. Top water is fun...White flies have started.

Dave was out fishing with his son, John, and had a good day on top and bottom. He has been on the river a lot doing "research".

We are now offering "Drift and Wade" on the "J", little and big.

We put one on the calendar for September 27th to 29th. Cost is $900 for lodging, food and guiding. Lodging on the Little J.

MONTANA “Rock Creek Stonefly” 2023

June 10th to 17th, 2023

Cost is $ 3,750.00 pp

Stonefly time on Rock Creek (limited access, special permits required). We will drift Rock Creek 2 days. We can also fish Georgetown Lake, Clark Fork, Bitterroot and Blackfoot Rivers when we are not drifting Rock. There are lots of options to find the best fishing. Weather is perfect this time of year with highs in the mid 70’s, and lows in the 50’s. No baking in 90 degree heat. The guides will pick us up at our lodging and drop us off on the days we float Rock. We will fly into Missoula, check in to the our lodging, relax and drift the next 5 out of 6 days. We will take a day off from drifting, and can go sightseeing, wade fish or sleep in, just relax on the deck all day.
