Dear <<First Name>>,

I write to invite you to renew your PPRTA membership for 2022.

The Provincetown Part-Time Resident Taxpayers Association is a 100% volunteer-run organization of concerned homeowners and taxpayers, like you, whose economic and cultural contributions to Provincetown are vital to the preservation and sustainability of the town. We Educate, Advocate, and Build community for our members.

We Educate our members through our newsletters, and with our frequent seminars, zoom events and discussions on a variety of relevant topics. This year alone we’ve discussed the sewer expansion, the Local Comprehensive Plan, the police station plan, and broadband.

We Advocate for our members on the topics you told us are important to you by speaking at public hearings and working with local government officials. When appropriate, we comment at Select Board meetings and several members participate on local committees.

We strive to Build Community by giving our members opportunities to volunteer with local groups and providing social gatherings to meet and network with each other and our neighbors. We support local businesses with our Community Partners Program. We partnered with The Compact and with Friends of Provincetown Parks and Gardens, and we provide weekly social meets at the Provincetown Brewing Company. Later this summer PPRTA will announce a new annual award program to acknowledge contributions of individuals who helped create a better and more vibrant community.

Why should you renew your membership to the PPRTA?

  • You'll receive information that you might not otherwise be aware of. And you'll add your voice to the only organization speaking on behalf of part-time homeowners in Provincetown.
  • You'll support our work of highlighting part-time resident contributions and involvement in Provincetown.
  • You'll be invited to our seminars and zoom events. And you will be invited to our social events to meet and network with other part-time homeowners.
  • You'll support our participation with other regional part-time resident groups working on common concerns.
  • By renewing, you will help the PPRTA Support the Provincetown Community. PPRTA members serve on town committees. PPRTA supports local businesses with our Community Partners Program. You can join us in supporting local non-profits at fundraising events.
  • When you renew, you will be invited to our member only virtual and in-person seminars. And be able to attend our Annual Meeting in the spring or one of our local social events throughout the year.

<<First Name>>, because you have been a member in the past, you know the value of our work. Please, continue to support the PPRTA by renewing today.

Sincerely,

Pat Miller, President
