Volunteers/Friends of the Aurora History Museum
It's been a while since we've put some volunteer work into our little museum on Fifth Street. Working on access to the building for Wednesday, August 10 to do some clean-out work inside the museum building. If we are approved, I would solicit any help you may want to offer. Our goal is to clean the walls, ceiling and floor in anticipation of making it accessible to visit (as an empty historic building) during the October 22-23 Fish and Farm Festival.
Remember, volunteering requires a waiver statement signed for the town. Waivers will be provided Wednesday.
I think some power spraying and scrubbing would make it a bit more presentable. We are still waiting on the notification of an NCPC grant we submitted for $2000 to help buy paint and supplies in the future inside refurbishment.
Let me know if you can help. I am sensitive that most folks work, and may not be able to support mid-week. I would take any help you could offer. Think short ladders, some power sprayers and scrub brooms to knock down the big stuff.
Sincerely,
Kurt
