The Toronto Palestine Film Festival is kicking off their 15th year with TPFF's most popular summer event - their Outdoor Film Screening and Souq! TPFF welcomes you to a day full of music, food and local artisans followed by the 200 Meters film screening.

Doug Ford won with 18% of the vote. Nowhere did he or Conservative candidates campaign on cuts, roll-backs, or privatization. On August 8, 2022,  remind this government that we didn’t vote for privatization or cuts and we won’t stand for it. We demand the repeal of Bill 124 and much more!


Reimagining Community Safety
Aug 2 -12,  12:30-8pm (weekdays only)
FREE 2 week course (join for any part!)
In-person and online.

Gathering spots include: Parkdale library (1303 Queen Street West), the lakeshore, and with evenings at Dufferin park.

Sessions will focus on exploring different topics such as:

1a. What treaties, laws and rights do we value?
1b. Identifying when police act as policy enforcers, consciously or unconsciously violating human rights and/or treaties
2. Learning about communities around the world with autonomous zones, alternatives to policing, and effective community supports
3. Learning de-escalation tips and practices
4. Holding the police (and harmful systems) accountable, and how to go about suing the police and gathering evidence
The final two days of the course will be for community members to gather and begin planning the next steps for creating safer communities in our own city and neighborhoods.
We hope you can join us for as much of the course as you would like.

The Hiroshima-Nagasaki Day Coalition invites your participation in the 77th Anniversary Commemoration of the Atomic bombings of Japan.

Peace activists and dynamic presenters will highlight the importance of Canadian support for the United Nations Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons. The event will also feature a message from City of Toronto Mayor John Tory, and music by Grammy-nominated flautist Ron Korb.


Run for Palestine - Toronto Run/Walk 2022

Run for Palestine (RfP) is a family oriented, fun filled day that welcomes all memebers of the community where participants can walk or run 5 Km to raise funds for much needed humanitarian projects helping the Palestinian people. 

After the run, there will be food available, a bazaar, and entertainment.
The trail accommodates wheelchairs and strollers.
