What is 5CP?

In the PJM region, data from the highest five coincident PJM system peak demand days (5CP event), from June 1 through September 30, determines a business' peak load contribution (PLC), also known as a capacity tag, for invoicing purposes for the next calendar year.  If you can reduce electricity demand during peak hours on any or all of these five days, you will lower their PLC values and therefore lower your capacity costs for next calendar year.  For reference, we added the details of the last nine years of peak demand events.
